Liberty Mutual's Group Market is hiring for a Disability Claims Operations Manager. In this role you will have the opportunity to grow and be rewarded for leading a field claims office with over 100 employees.
The Disability Claims Operations Manager has primary responsibility for overall success of our Kansas City disability claims office by effectively managing a staff of Disability Claims teams including managers and individual contributors. This role ensures the staff manages new business installations while supporting prospective and existing customer needs.
Responsibilities:
In addition to possessing broad knowledge of disability products, insurance claims issues, policies, procedures and financial principles for managing financial liability, successful candidates for this role will have demonstrated ability to:
* Lead, devise and implement procedures
* Analyze technically complex subject matter
* Manage multiple priorities and projects
* Make decisions, problem-solve, negotiate conflict and communicate, orally and in writing, to diverse audiences
* Effectively present to customers
* Interact with large customers and understand service issues

Requirements |
* Candidates must have prior experience managing Managers as well as Individual Contributors.
* Candidates should also have prior experience working with disability products such as Short-Term, Long-Term and FMLA leaves.
* Successful candidates will possess the ability and knowledge typically acquired by a B.A./B.S. plus 10+ years of progressively more responsible business experience, including 5 or more years of leadership experience.
