Production Manager for Truman State University Areas of responsibility: Responsible for production with multi-functional food service areas. Scope of Position: Sunday - Saturday (hours depend on work load). Hours vary depending on daily functions Principal Duties: Help creats menus and set production for Retail operation along with Catered events. Work very closely with Production staff. Work closely with Operations Manager and Catering Manager. General responsibilities: Be aware of Unit Policies along with Sodexo procedures and monitor staff at all times. Necessary paperwork associated with daily responsibilities. Meet all time lines and job requirements. Ability to communicate well, delegate and follow through all areas of the food service operation. Ability to be extremly flexible for the daily chages that take place. Computer abilities and food service knowledge a must.

Requirements |
Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus. Basic Education Requirement: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 1 year of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.Position Posting Title: Manager 2 - Food Production
